The History of the Americas Cup Oars – The first race in 1851 was won by the yacht name the America’s
Hence the name: America’s Cup.
These oars have copies of yachts used throughout the years from 1851 to current America’s Cup races, with the appropriate dates on each yacht.
The Chart of the Waitemata Harbour in the background is a copy of a chart from 1953, and the Pamphlet at the top is a copy of the original Pamphlet advertising the race in 1851.
The Right hand oar has been sold but has been
